Pageant Scoring

Because Cause for Paws Pageant will be virtual this year, we will be scoring differently and awarding points for total donations collected as well as judging email questionnaires sent detailing why contestants want to be appointed 2022 royalty.

Scoring Basics

Contestant Email Questionnaire Answers are worth 100 points.
Questionnaire scores will be used to determine Age Division Winners.

Every $10 donation raised = 1 additional bonus point.
Questionnaire scores + bonus points will be used to determine Supreme Title Winners. Bonus points will also be used to determine top fundraiser winners within age division brackets.

Supreme Titles - Ages 6+

Here is where Cause for Paws Pageant competition is especially fun and different from other systems. In order to both recognize our top competitors and encourage our participants to raise more money for the Humane Society, we give out bonus points for additional fundraising that are used to help boost competition scores for Supreme Titles.

For Supreme titles, contestants must raise a minimum of $100 on their Doggie Dash Individual page and answer questionnaires by themselves.

Ultimate Supreme Winner (ages 6+)

The Supreme Finalist with the highest combined overall score from their email questionnaire submission plus bonus donation points out of all age divisions 6+. Winner receives a custom Paws Pageant rhinestone crown, an embroidered satin sash with rhinestone trim, and a gift prize package. This title does not double crown.

Grand Supreme Winner (ages 6+)

The Supreme Finalist with the second highest combined overall score from their email questionnaire submission plus bonus donation points out of all age divisions 6+. Winner receives a custom Paws Pageant rhinestone crown, an embroidered satin sash with rhinestone trim, and a gift prize package. This title does not double crown.

Supreme Winner (ages 6+)

The Supreme Finalist with the third highest combined overall score from their email questionnaire submission plus bonus donation points out of all age divisions 6+. Winner receives a custom Paws Pageant rhinestone crown, an embroidered satin sash with rhinestone trim, and a gift prize package. This title does not double crown.

NOTE: Although it is possible to be a top fundraiser and still not win a Supreme Title, it is highly unlikely that you will win a Supreme Title without doing fundraising above and beyond the minimum required amount.

Age Division Titles

Contestants with the highest email questionnaire submission score within their age division after the Supreme winners have been selected. All contestants must raise a minimum of $65 on their Doggie Dash page in order to qualify for an age division title, however bonus points for fundraising are not used to determine age division winners. 

Age Division Winner receives a unique rhinestone crown, embroidered satin sash, a gift prize package, and is considered a part of the new Cause for Paws Pageant Royalty. This title does not double crown.

NOTE: Bonus points will be used to determine Top Fundraisers within Sophisticated, Senior, Junior, Kinder and Baby age division brackets for additional recognition and prizes.

Specialty Titles

Community Service (ages 6+)

This competition is open to all currently registered contestants ages 6 and up. The award will go to the contestant who submitted the highest combined number of Community Service hours volunteered within the last year and is chosen after Supreme Winners have been selected. Winner receives a unique rhinestone crown, embroidered satin sash, special gift prize package and is considered a part of the new Paws Pageant Royalty. This title does not double crown. Sweetheart (ages 6+)

Previous Queens for Animals royalty ages 6+ are invited to apply to win our Paws Pageant Sweetheart title. You must commit to representing Paws Pageant by making appearances, volunteering and collecting donations. Our Sweetheart will be chosen by email questionnaire. Winner receives a custom Paws Pageant rhinestone crown, an embroidered satin sash with rhinestone trim and a special pin. The Sweetheart is also considered a part of the new royalty. Ambassador (ages 6+)

Previous QFA board members, relatives or close friends of pageant director(s), or other volunteers may earn this title by fulfilling certain application and volunteer hour requirements. Ambassadors must also be capable and available to volunteer during Doggie Dash on May 14. Ambassadors may make appearances with current royalty and help at events throughout the year.
